Fascia

Fascia is the body’s connective web—linking every muscle, organ, and structure into a unified whole. Understanding its role helps reveal how touch, movement, and subtle rhythms support healing throughout the body.

What Is Fascia?

Fascia is a continuous web of connective tissue that surrounds and supports every structure in the body. It wraps around the muscles, organs, tendons, ligaments, bones, blood vessels, and nerves—holding the entire body together as one unified whole.

In adults, fascia is composed of about 70% water, giving it both strength and flexibility. It allows the body’s structures to move in harmony while maintaining their integrity and form.

If every other tissue in the body were removed and only the fascia remained, your shape would still be recognizable—a living map of the body’s remarkable design.
